It can be an elementary school kid at camp look, or it can be a chic ready for a nice summer day look when done well. Tie Dye. People tend to love or hate this trend. There are very few that are in the middle on it. My guess? Because it is a bold look that, also, is often labeled to certain people groups, which is dumb if you ask me. If you like tie dye wear it – even if you are not the free spirit, hippie type. This tie dye trend is not the 1960’s over-sized t-shirt with bright colors many of our parent probably wore, this is an updated chic take on the print. I love when tie dye is paired with maxi dresses – the two trends work so well together. The dress pictured above is actually two dresses paired together, but I am really wanting the top dress. When I first saw it in Free People’s May look book I about died – it is perfect. Tie dye does not have to just be in the form of long flowy dresses either – so if that is too much commitment for your liking try a scarf, top, or even some shoes. Here are some other fun ways tie dye is being used to look chic…
So, how ever little or much you want to embrace this trend there is a way to make it work for you. What do you say, do or don’t on the tie dye trend?
Happy Monday loves – hope you had a wonderful weekend!
Much love,
B
