Yeah, yeah, yeah…I know, sometimes it snows in March, even May, in Minnesota but it is getting very old and it is time for the snow to move on. It has had its more than fair share of our year. At least I know I will survive – I mean I have made it this many years…
Guess it’s back to the yoga studio for me for the weekend – at least it is warm in there. What are you up to this weekend?
I have a love hate relationship with white pants. More of a love relationship because I think they are stunning. I just do not always love how I look in them – you know, white not always the most flattering of colors on the legs. Anyways, this winter there have been a lot of white jeans being worn, which so often is a fashion faux pas. So, what do you say loves…
So what is the verdict, yay or nay on white jeans in winter? How would you style them?
Time to get away are write, oh how I have been longing for more of that sweet haven. My mind has been racing with thoughts recently to write and process about, now to find – I mean make, the time.
I love hats. I am especially loving this wider brim hat, so much that I am thinking that I need to get one to add to my hat collection.
This is the perfect combination of chic and cozy for a bitter cold winter day – which I am knowing far too well these days.
Cuddled up in a stunning coat – best way to be on these cold days. It has been so cold this week that my jacket has actually been part of my daily outfits.
This looks like my kind of restaurant, in fact it actually reminds me of a few of my favorite little places around town here in Minneapolis. Maybe I need to make a point to bundle up and head there this weekend.
How are you staying warm these days? What are your favorite winter pieces?
I am not talking about the depressing moods, though winters are often filled with plenty of those from time to time, but rather lets add some subtle color to the grey days with stunning blues. A colbolt blue is fabulous for spring and summer, but I am talking about those deep cool blues that have a seductive and mysterious draw about them, not a simple carefree blue. Those are the perfect hues for the bitterly cold winter days.
Are you feeling the winter blues – either way, emotionally or the hues??
Not sure about where you are these days, but it is freezing here! Just when it seemed like it was going to warm up, the wind came rushing through cooling this place back off to the frozen tundra it seems to become ever bitter cold February. How do I forget every year that this is the coldest month of the year in MN?! Oh well, thankfully layering can still be stylish and cute. I love layers. I especially have been loving using my leg warmers more as of late. They are like little sweaters wrapped around my legs – and that is completely fabulous. It also give me a way to still wear cute fun heels without freezing my feet. And you cannot go wrong in pairing leg warmers with boots.
How do you feel about leg warmers? Do you love them or are they too 80’s for you?
I love her hair. I love her hair so much that the other night when I laid eyes on it I immediately scheduled a hair appointment for an ombre treatment to my locks. I have had grown out blonde chunky highlights for son long, it seemed like the best idea to change up my look some. When I get inspiration, I go with it, instantly.
I love tattoos and have been craving another. Specifically, one on my mid back like this. I would prefer a design similar to this but more with an elephant in it, I know shocking – I want an elephant tattoo. This is serving as inspiration to get on the designing of my next one…
Her look is stylish, chic and simple. A lovely lady inspiring me this fine Friday.
Winter refuses to leave. So, I am taking this photo and using it as my inspiration to go have fun and play in the snow. Have to make the most out of everything, right?!!
I am absolutely obsessed with these stunning new shoes that I simply had to have the other day when I laid eyes on them. I still was on the hunt for the perfect Valentine’s Day outfit. These little gems were the perfect inspiration to be the muse for my whole look, so naturally I had to purchase them – plus, I got 20% off for having on red (which happened to be a pair of Christmas socks due to it being laundry day – worked out well for me)!!
What are you drawing inspiration from this week and loving?
Peek-a-boo. How cute is she all bundled up in a stylish coat and fabulous hat. Now that is the kind of look I love.
It keeps on snowing here, so we need to keep finding fabulous looks to bundle up in as we trek out into the frozen tundra. Love this cape look.
How cute is she?!! I am totally in love with her outfit and want to wear it, like now! And I love her lip color – it is just like the color I bought last weekend – perfect for late winter/early spring.
Best casual outfit ever. Now, can it just get warm enough to actually sit outside like this, please?!!
One more fabulous look that also manages to stay cozy and warm for the brisk days. Love this inspiration.
When it gets cold and I mean bitterly cold, do you sacrifice style and looking chic? Or do you find a way to make it work – no matter what Mother Nature throws your way?
If I summed January up with two style trends, it would be glitter and stripes. Seriously, I have an addiction and I am okay with it. I love the two, and love the two together even more. The New Year’s sparkles are still lingering and I am loving having a little glitter to add some shine to these cold wintery days.
What trends can you still not seem to get enough of? Are you a fan of the sequins?
Fresh snow fell all over the streets of the twin cities last night. It was fun to go out and stomp around in the snow, but the key to keeping it fun is staying bundled up. Scarves wrapped around your neck and hats to top you off are keys to to bundling up. Plus, there are so many options that the cute looks are endless. You can keep the same coat on every day and change up your look by changing the accessories – I love that.
How do you stay warm and chic when the snow falls on you?
For Christmas, I received a ticket to the annual Beer Dabbler Showcase in St. Paul at the Winter Carnival. The day has come and I cannot wait! This morning was completely classy as I was at the annual Founder’s Day for my sorority, but I will be changing up my look for this afternoon. It is still freezing, but that just means keep drinking the beer – it will make us feel warmer. And of course, wear a fabulous hat that is both cute and warm. So, with that loves – I am off to start layering on the layers before I head out. Cheers!
Are you a beer girl? Or what is your beverage of choice? I don’t like to be exclusive – I enjoy all types.
