Back at It…

back

This weekend I am back to the new normal of yoga all weekend long.  It sure may leave me a little more tired, but it is totally worth.  The time flies by when I am there and I absolutely love that.  And the above picture is how I love to be, viewing the world upside down is magical – there is something that happens there – it helps a headache, helps me come back to reality and have an eternal perspective, and helps me come back to the breath and trust that it really is going to be okay – no matter what is happening.

What brings you back to reality and gets you off the ledge?

Much love,

Sweet Surrender…

ss

I can barely believe it is already the fourth weekend of Yoga Teacher Training.  In some ways it has flown by and in other ways I keep thinking it has to have been a lot longer since I have learned so much.  I have taught my first yoga class, but more than learning the poses and flow of the class – I have learned about myself.  There is a sweet surrender that is happening – an acceptance of who I have been created to be.  I feel like I have finally found my thing – it just fits.  It really is beautiful, especially seeing that yoga goes so much further than my mat.

Have you found what your thing is?  What is it?  How did you find it?

Much love,

B

Dear Spring…

snow

Yeah, yeah, yeah…I know, sometimes it snows in March, even May, in Minnesota but it is getting very old and it is time for the snow to move on.  It has had its more than fair share of our year.  At least I know I will survive – I mean I have made it this many years…

Guess it’s back to the yoga studio for me for the weekend – at least it is warm in there.  What are you up to this weekend?

Much love,

Five Loves…

love1

There is need to limit your yoga practice to your mat.  I love that about yoga and meditation – anywhere anytime, well within reason…I’m not going to get up and do a headstand in the middle of a meeting, though the thought has certainly crossed my mind.

love2

I adore tulips.  They are the perfect spring flower.  Even though snow has covered the ground in Minneapolis, yet again, we have enjoyed fresh tulips inside the house courtesy one of my lovely roommates.

love3

I want this sweater SO much.  I love the big chevrons.  This is to die for.

love4

Jeans and heels.  Even better, boyfriend jeans and heels.  I totally am in love with this look and needing a pair of boyfriend jeans.

love5

Oh how I have a bad case of spring fever – I just love when flowers start to bloom.

Do you have spring fever?  How are you dealing with the extended winter?  Or is it spring for you yet?

Much love,

B

Five Loves…

love1

I know it may seem funny, but I really think I realized this this week, maybe not for the first time, but certainly in a new way.  I guess I am still figuring it all out, but it is a fun adventure.

love2

I love the texture in this shirt.  It is has a real denim and light weight feel at the same time – lovely.

love3

Love this.  A headstand turn scorpion – two of my favorites meet.  There is something so calming about being upside down.  Nothing else matters there, because as soon as you let something else matter, you fall.

love4

Simple.  Chic.  Perfect for a transition season that is a grey winter fading into spring.  Love it.

love5

How pretty are these?!!  I cannot wait to try making them to add some pretty to my lemonade this summer.

What are you learning that you are loving these days?

Much love,

B

Breathe in Deep…

breathe

I am back in the studio this weekend.  I seriously cannot put into words how much I am loving Yoga Teacher Training.  I keep learning so much – so much more than the names of poses in Sanskrit, though that is pretty amazing, too.  It is amazing how only after one week of some of these life changes – the biggest being Vegan (I was already a vegetarian, but still challenging) and sober – have had such a positive impact on my body and mind.  This is only the beginning of the journey – I need to keep going back to the breath to keep going.

Have you ever done a cleanse?  What were some of the biggest changes you noticed in your body?  Was it hard to introduce things back in?

Much love,

B

Happy Weekend…

weekend

Whether you find yourself relaxing curled up in bed or are out in about – enjoy your weekend.  I am enjoying a morning to sleep in before I head back to my first weekend of yoga teacher training.  Going from one favorite place to the other, aka my bed to my mat, makes for a delightful weekend for me – hope your’s is the same!

Any fun plans this weekend?

Much love,

Bun Wrap…

bun1

I love Free People.  So much, that I read their blog.  Daily.  Multiple times daily.  One of the latest trends I found over there was bun wraps.  It is such a fun way to spice up the top know, which I wear at least once a day – it is the perfect after yoga hair.  And it would be even better with this fun accessory.  I love the bohemian look it encompasses.

How do you feel about this new accessory trend?  Could you see yourself wearing a bun wrap?

Final Freebie…for Awhile…

This is my last free weekend for awhile, but no worries – it is completely a result of my own doing.  Next weekend, I start the venture of Yoga Teach Training with two of my favorite yogis leading the way.  I feel so blessed to get to have this experience.  From what it will do for me growing deeper personally, to help me keep pursuing my dream of not always living in the States (can we say Bali here I come?!!), to equipping me to get to share my love of yoga with others – so much joy!!  These two lovely ladies have blessed my life so much already, and they continue to – seriously, this has not been an easy process to get me here, but it has been so good and humbling and I wouldn’t have it any other way.  With that, I better get out there and enjoy my last Saturday to frolic about – the bestie and I are going to a show tonight.  Our good friend, Sarah Winters is opening tonight at the Fine Line and then playing with Who?  Cannot wait to see her pretty face!!  Love when the Minnesota natives come back to visit those they left behind 🙂

Are you still chasing your dreams – even if it scares you?  How so?  What is your craziest/scariest dream you want before you die?

Much love,
