There is something so beautiful about a diamond left in its natural state. There is beauty in the rough. Each one is so unique in its natural state. I love them. So much. I love that they can be set in a ring, earrings, bracelet, necklace – really whatever style of jewelry is your preference, a rough diamond can be set to work there. They also usually have this soft delicateness about them, even as they are raw and rough.
Do you like the look of diamonds left in the rough?
Accessories are fabulous. I simply can never get enough of them. However, when it gets hot out, it can be hard to want to put a bunch on because it gets to be too hot and sticky. So, my favorite thing this summer is wearing cuffs. They cover a larger part of the wrist, but also tend to be a little looser so letting your have a fabulous accessorized look but not suffocating your wrist.
How do you feel about cuffs? Are you a gold or silver person?
I do love my accessories. Normally, I am one to layer the rings and bracelets. However, this week I have not really been able to do the ring thing because I was stung by a bee and my fingers and hand are swollen (it’s a great look, let me tell you). Lucky for me, layering necklaces is totally trendy right now so I do not have to go through withdrawal while I wait for the swelling to go down. This is a look you can do with chunky necklaces or delicate. There is certainly a time and place for each look, but I am certainly drawn to layering the delicates.
Do you layer any of your necklaces? Any other accessories?
I love this look. It looks like it was put together with such ease, and whether that is true or not, that is always a good thing. Plus, those heels are too cute!!
Pictures of people’s arm candy always catches my attention. I think they are beautiful. Plus, I always love seeing what people put together – it’s like a little piece of art.
Another beautiful and simple look. Maybe it is the whole going into the weekend thing, but I cannot get enough of these. Plus, I again am LOVING her shoes!!
I think this is always a helpful mantra to remind yourself of, but it certainly has been as of late for me. I can get so caught up in planning the future that I forget to enjoy the present. I need to remember – things take time and that is okay – so why not enjoy it.
He just makes me so happy – I feel like the luckiest, so naturally it was going to make the list eventually. This is from the wedding we went to last weekend. Guess this is another one of those things that proves things take time and it was worth the wait – so patience is a good thing!
Happy Friday, lovies!! What has been putting a smile on your face this week?
…to arm candy that is. Seriously, I cannot get enough. I am always buying more bracelets and playing with different combinations each morning before I start my day. It is like taking individual pieces of art and putting them together to create a masterpiece. It finishes off a look every time. It is a fun way to spice up a look, but not make it over the top. Arm candy works with every style, too because it is more an expression of yourself rather than following a specific trend.
Do you ever get a crush on a color? Like every time you see it you are drawn in? I totally get those – and when they hit, they hit hard. As of late I cannot get enough of teal, especially when paired with gold. Seriously – it makes me swoon. I used to never want to wear color and now I find my closet of black getting so many pops of teal added to the collection.
What is your current color obsession? Do you crush on colors easily?
How cozy and chic does this pretty lady look all at the same time?! I adore her whole look.
I love purses and bags. I love social justice. So, when purchasing a bag, which is extremely cute I might add, will supply 100 school lunches for children in India, I’m naturally going to fall in love with it. Check our Rachel Roy’s partnership with FEEDhere. There are two colors, but I love this white one with the bright tassels.
Love this arm candy. All week I have been layering and layering the pieces on to turn my wrist in to a real party. I love mixing gold, fancier bracelets with some of my more hippie hemp bracelets. Makes for a fun look.
I love this photo so much. I wish that was me – so peaceful. I love rowing, so the thought of rowing to the middle of the lake and getting some peaceful alone time sounds delightful.
I love my sweet friend, Cassie and today is her birthday!! Happy birthday, C – love you lots!! Thankful for you – more than words can express.
How do you stay looking chic, but still comfortable in the heat and humidity?
Classy meets casual – now that is my kind of summer uniform for the office. I love the simplicity of this ensemble.
Charleston, SC – one of my favorite cities to visit in the US. Sadly, I don’t think I will make it there this summer – but for almost seven years straight I would make sure to at least get a day trip to this lovely city once a year. So much history. So much beauty and good foods.
I love rings. I love gold. I love the symbolisim of knots. So, basically this is the perfect ring and I adore it.
A carefree moment where you can let go and laugh – even if it means you are laying on the ground laughing – now those are some of my favorite moments with my girlfriends.
The perfect weekend uniform. I have a hat almost identical to this and I could live in it. I love wearing it to keep the sun off my face as I stroll through the local Farmers’ Market.
What are you doing to enjoy the sunshine? Do you shop the local Farmers’ Markets?
