Five Loves…

love1

The perfect spring and summer hat.  I have been on the hunt for one very similar to this – and by on the hunt, I really mean looking at pictures since I have not really made time to go shopping.  I should do something about that.

love2

It is almost blueberry season.  That basically means when I get anything in blueberry flavor that I can – it just tastes so good.  I love the rich color of blueish-purple that has the perfect amount of sweetness and bitterness that kiss perfectly.

love3

How fun and beautiful are these long maxis?!  They scream spring easing into summer and needing to head to a music festival or stroll around the lakes…or maybe that last part is just my six-month cooped-up self is feeling – either way, I want one of these lovely dresses.

love4

These shoes are amazing.  Paired with the super cute pink pants.  Hello spring, I love you and have missed you so is what this stunning combo is saying and I would like to second it – all of it.

love5

I love every aspect of Samantha Hutchinson’s whole look here, but especially those pants.  May I please find a pair for my own and then pair them with a blazer and say it is okay for the office?!!  I totally think I could make that work…and if not, who cares?!  They are hot and would be perfect for an evening or weekend look .  Purchase justified?!  I think so.

Are you getting spring fever?  Is it spring for you yet?  Does spring fever ever translate into your closet getting a little face lift??  What is on the top of your spring shopping list?

Much love,

B

Cuff & Roll…

cuff1

Spring is here.  It is finally starting to warm up and the snow is melting – it is divine.  That means, it is time for one of my favorite looks for spring and summer.  Cuffed jeans.  Even better when you pair them with heels to give your look a little more class, but I also love a pair of TOMS or Chacos, too – staples for the Minnesota gal.  There is no need to put that favorite pair of jeans away for the warmer months.  If you need a little leg, and I mean a little, roll them up to give them a nice little cuff – it’s perfect.

How do you feel about the cuffed look?  What about for the gents out there?  I personally think this is a look for both genders.

Much love,

B

It’s a Thing {Socks & Sandals}…

VogueParis1WEB-600x400

Socks and heels is a thing, and now this spring the sandals want in on the fun, too.  Especially when it comes to a good pair of Birkenstocks, which as a northern Minnesota girl I am all about.  It also appears this spring the outdoorsy gals will not be the only ones wearing a more hardy pair of sandals, which our feet will love us for, because they are certainly making a statement.  I love that a very natural and practical sandal can be paired with a cute spring or summer look and still be fashionable.  That is what I call a practical fashionista – and we all know we need a day or two like that!

Will you be rocking the socks and sandals look?  How about with some birks of your own?

Corked…

cork1

Could this be the new next thing for purses this summer?!  I mean, even Henri Bendel is selling them.  Some of the styles are really fun and would be a great summer time accessory.  I especially am loving the cork with pops of neon, I am not so ready to give up my neon love – at least give me one more summer to enjoy the comeback.

What do you think of the cork trend?  Will you be looking for a style of your own?

Feelin’ Frisky…

frisky1

One of the perks to winter hanging out longer it seems that there is a longer season to enjoy leopard print.  And I am not the only one enjoying it longer this year, as it is so often more of a fall and winter print.  I keep seeing it pop up.  So, maybe this year we should embrace the leopard print all year long.  It adds such an edge to a woman’s look.  She means business, but it fun.  Every lady has a little feline side waiting to be released…

How do you feel about leopard print?  Does it fit in your style?

Layers of Cream…

cream1

Spring is so close to fully showing its face – or so I would like to think and ignore the bitter cold winter that came yet again.  With spring starting to come it has me loving all the layers of cream that come in flowy fabrics that are perfect to create that romantic feel of spring fling loves.  Spring is certainly all about bright fun colors, but there is always room to stay true to the neutrals.  Layer them on – because it is still cold, so we need all the layers we can get.  Lucky for us fashionistas, layered neutrals look fabulous.

Are you leaving room for neutrals this spring?  Or are you all about the colors?

That Necklace…

necklace1

Okay – I see this bauble necklace everywhere it seems.  The necklace is often known as the Blake Bauble Necklace.  And every time I see it, I want it more and more.  Then, I start to wonder what it would look like on a lady that is not as flat chested, if you will?!  It seriously comes in ever color you could ever want, the only problem then is what color do I want most?!!  I love the black one, but the mint green and teal are also fabulous.

Add a Little Length…

knee1

Just because spring is around the corner does not mean we have to whip out all the short mini skirts.  Rather this year, enjoy a little more length with the below the knee skirt.  Now, this length is not always the easiest to style, but it does have a strong classic femininity about it.  It can make a younger gal appear to be more mature at the office.  But it does not have to age you, if you spice it up with color and some fun shoes it can be a great look.  It is a great length for transition seasons, or places like MN where winter seems to stretch on forever when you are craving spring.

How do you feel about this length for your body type?  How do you style it?

Much love,

B

Yay or Nay {White Jeans in Winter}…

whitejeans1

I have a love hate relationship with white pants.  More of a love relationship because I think they are stunning.  I just do not always love how I look in them – you know, white not always the most flattering of colors on the legs.  Anyways, this winter there have been a lot of white jeans being worn, which so often is a fashion faux pas.  So, what do you say loves…

So what is the verdict, yay or nay on white jeans in winter?  How would you style them?

Let’s See that Shape…

shape1

Now, I am a lover of the flowing garments – but there comes a time to let everything take shape.  There are so many beautiful pieces coming out for spring and previewed for fall that are highly structured, shaping pieces.  There is a classiness that embodies a strong femininity.  I especially am loving what Mossman, designer out of Australia.  They are nailing the Shape Shifter perfectly.

How do you feel about the form and shaped fashion?  Will you be embracing this with your style this spring?  Or are you sticking to the free-flowing looks?

Much love,

B
