Wish List {Pumps}…

I love high heels so much.  There seems to be endless options, so one can never exhaust all the pairs to own.  Or at least that is what I tell myself when wanting another pair, but I know I am not the only shoe lover out there.  I have had my eye on Chiara’s of The Blonde Salad shoe collection ever since she first debuted them.  I specifically LOVE the electric blue suede pump with the natural toned heal.  The heel has beautiful coloring and fading, especially paired against the bright blue.  They basically are the greatest pump, well at leat for today.  They are pricy, but that is why they are on my wish list.  They also come in other fun colors, as well as a classic black.  Gorgeous.

Gift Guide {That Special Guy}…

Men are one of the hardest to buy a gift for, at least in my opinion.  Not that I have a special guy to be buying gifts for this year, but if I did, I would buy him a great pair of dark leather boots.  I love them so much and think every man needs one.  I am also obsessed with Two Inch Cuffs for men – so many great inspirations for a perfect gift for him.  There are also some great shoes there.  Otherwise, another great option is to get your man some clothes that you would love to see him in.  Or a great new watch – every man needs a good manly watch that looks sharp.

And, if shoes, watches and clothes are not your guys thing.  There is always a flask, some good whiskey, or the latest video game – you know, guys always love those things.

Gift Guide {Foodie}…

This time of year is so fun and filled with cheer, but it can also bring a lot of stress – especially when it comes to gift giving.  The question is always, what do I get for each person?!  I have found that it is helpful to think about what the person loves and let that inspire the creative juices as you brainstorm.  It at least gives you a starting point.  So, first on my list – the foodie.  What do I get her (or really them…there are a couple in this category)?  My favorite place to start looking for a domestic goddess or true foodie is Anthropologie in the Home section.  One thing specifically, that doesn’t break the bank, is one of their amazing aprons.  And pair it with a couple kitchen utensils, or red wine and some cheese and you have a great gift that she will love and it will still leave you with some money to spend on others.  I think that is also key – give a gift that shows you know the person.  She will love it and feel loved by the thought you put into it.

It Keeps On Coming…

Once again, it snowed.  Not as much as the last few blizzards but still.  We will indeed have a white Christmas.  But every time it snows it makes me want to crawl in here…

…and hibernate until it all melts away.  However, I cannot because it is Christmas and I still have more of these to get and wrap before tomorrow a.m. …

…so after enjoying a quiet morning, I will head on out and brave the snow to get the final things.  Then, it is off to celebrate Christmas with good friends.  And would love to wear these…

…because I love all things that sparkle.  However you find yourself celebrating this weekend – I do wish you and yours a wonderfully merry merry Christmas!

Still Stumped…

Ok, so maybe clothes and nail polish is not the way to go for some people on your list…but people the clock is ticking!  With that, I have thought of a few more items that are great for the people you are completely stumped on.

You could always make something – like these delicious Graham Cracker Cookie Bars from the Tasty Kitchen blog.  She has plenty of amazing recipes that would work great as gifts.  I mean, everyone likes food, right?!

Everyone has thoughts.  Everyone needs a place to write them down.  I love these Field Notes notebooks.  I also love them because of their slogan – it is a great thought, “I’m not writing it down to remember it later, I’m writing it down to remember it now.”

Yes, this is another clothing option, but who doesn’t need a good cozy set of pajamas to hibernate in?  They are always a great option.  And if you need something to go along with the pj’s…

…books.  Whether it is a classic or a new release, the options are endless when you start talking books.  There is bound to be at least one book that would be perfect for each person on your list.

Whatever you end up deciding on, good luck with your last minute shopping.  And I hope that the stresses of shopping do not ruin the season for you.  Anyone waiting to finish up shopping on Christmas Eve? I am ashamed to say, I don’t think you will be alone…I will totally be joining you…

Last Minute Gifts…

IF you are done with your shopping – congratulations!  For the rest of us, whether it is because you are king or queen of procrastination or you are still holding out for the perfect gift, it is time to make some decisions.  Still need ideas?  Well here are some ideas to at least get the wheels turning…

Scarves area always a great option.  You can never have enough.  There are great options for men and women.  I personally love this Pins and Needles Lace Eternity Scarf by Urban Outfitters.  And the best part is, they have free shipping to get your items here by Christmas so you can get them under the tree in time, or you could always run to the store…but who really has time to do that?!

Have a lady in your life and you don’t know what to get her?  Something pretty for the nails is always a great gift.  I have been loving the more nude shades.  They are great with winter whites, blacks, and all things that sparkle.  So, that is why I love the idea of this Debroah Lippmann shade Waking Up In Vegas.

For guys, who we all know are probably the hardest to shop for because they never are willing to tell you what they want, sweaters are always a good option.  Cardigans are an even better option.  Urban Outfitters again is a great option.  Will get here on time and so many wonderful options to choose from – for all types of men.

Catching My Eye…

Do you ever have a hard time finding the perfect gift for someone?  You want it to be creative and fun and just right for that special someone – whether it be a significant other or your best friend or your mom.  So much easier said than found.  These may not be the perfect gift for the someone you are looking for, but they sure are great gifts that have been catching my eye this holiday season.

Almost every girl needs a place to keep her accessories or perfume.  And who wants mad caios on their dresser?!  Why not rather have something pretty to store these beautiful things in…you can always use accessories as art in your room.  Ever since I first laid eyes on this Silhouette Beaded Glass Tray, from Modern Chic Home (and they have a lot of other great gift ideas, too – go check them out), I have wanted it for my dresser or for one of my good friends…it is just the perfect combination of vintage, chic and fabulous.
