It is beginning to be the season when I adore all things that sparkle.  This lovely winter white look that glitters is lovely.

 

Love this guy’s style – I wonder if he is single and looking for a little lady to spend some time with?!  I mean a girl can dream…

 

A big cozy sweater – one of my favorite loves when it starts to get bitterly cold in Minnesota.

 

Love this.  Resonate with this.  It is okay to be different if it is what you believe in.  Be unspoken – you’ll be shocked how refreshing your voice may be to someone else.

 

Loving this whiskey cider as a long week comes to an end.  It is perfect for fall relaxation.

Five Loves…

Simple.  Chic.  It is a stunning look that I love over and over again.

We are starting to get to that time of year when I love all things that sparkle – so why not start with some lovely sparkly shoes to lust after.

 

The holiday season is right around the corner…that means it is time to start finding the perfect party dress…or should I say dresses?!!

Happy Halloween…

 

Happy Halloween, my loves!  Today’s accessory of choice can be anything that transforms you to that person you wish you could be – so if that is a sweet little witch or Katniss from The Hunger Games – enjoy and indulge in some sweets.  (We all wonder why we gain weight in the winter – I think it may have something to do with three months long of holidays that encourage indulgence  often times of sweets…so, enjoy with some moderation so it is still enjoyable!)

Coming to a Close…

 

With almost every month there is something I love that makes the end of the month sad for me as it comes to a close.  This October has been fabulous.  October is one of my favorite months, as it is my birthday month after all and what girl doesn’t love celebrating with good friend and presents?!!  Plus, for me October is always a sense of a new beginning as a new year starts…which also comes along with new clothes.  What fashionista doesn’t enjoy some new pieces for birthday gifts?!

Five Loves…

 

Oh my goodness.  I feel in love with this sweater the first moment I laid eyes on it.  How cute?!  I mean who doesn’t love some Big Time Rush?!!

 

I think I may have an addiction.  To Tootsie Pops.  Seriously – I love them so much – like a little too much.

 

I have been listening to Taylor’s new album, Red, so much this past week.  She has this amazing ability to write songs that every girl can relate to.  And that makes her music addicting.  I guess it is fun to have something that is far more pop culture than my standard, though some of her stuff is not so poppy – like check out Sad Beautiful Tragic.  Not so pop friendly.

 

One of my favorite parts of late fall in Minnesota is that it is peacoat season.  There is something so classic and lovely about anyone – men and women a like – in a peacoat.

 

This is pretty much sums up my favorite style, which I know is not new news – but I just had to share because she is lovely.

Arm Party…

 

This fall the arm party has not come to a closing time.  Rather, it is still raging – and I am loving that because this is one party I am not ready to leave.  The combinations are endless.  I love playing with simpler, classy options for the office and then spicing it up with a little more funk on the weekends.  I am not sure what it is, but right now less is not more – this is a full on rager, so layer it on.

Back to the Office…

Today marks the start of a new phase of life – the new job!!  I couldn’t be more excited.  It is going to be a great change.  Getting dressed this morning was so different from the past week of my laid back hipster style.  I like being able to get dressed up and head into the office.  Fall office style is one of my favorites.  There is something about a good blazer and pumps that addd a little skip to my step.

Five Loves…

 

I am loving loafers and really wanting a pair to put on my happy feet.

 

Having a week to turn this house into a lovely place to call home has been so fun.  I seriously could put up pictures of every room for my five loves, but I need to make sure everything is perfect before I do a house post – but I promise to show you soon!  It really is coming along and has been so fun to get settled.

 

Okay, autumn may not be everything, but it certainly is pretty great.  It has been even better to have a week to enjoy these fabulous aspects of autumn.

 

Let’s lay under the stars – which may have to be all sorts of lights when in the city – and go away to our dream world together.  It is a magical place where poetry is reality and we are without all the complications – now that would be lovely.

 

And that is exactly what I have had this week – and the most beautiful part about it, it was here in Minneapolis – right where I call home.  For those of you that have known me for awhile know that is a big deal for me to say – so big that we might as well call it a miracle.  Love that.

Staycation Style…

This week has been so fun.  A little staycation here in my own fabulous city.  I have been loving getting to dress in chic cozy styles, work on the house, and then simply get to relax and enjoy time with good friends.  I simply cannot get enough of oversized sweaters and scarves layered on with skinnies and boots – it is the perfect fall ensemble.  It has been an extremely refreshing week, which is exactly what I have wanted as I head into a new job on Monday.

Stud Me Up…

 

Need to add a little edge to your look?  But still want to look classy?  Lucky for you the perfect way to get that combination wear classy meets edgy is trending like crazy.  It is a fabulous way to accessorize right on your pieces.  I personally am wanting a soft, flowy blouse that has gold studs on the shoulder – now that is a piece I could work into my office style, and certainly transition into an evening out.  If the studs on your top is a little too much, then there are always the amazing shoes to choose from…
