Wish I was There {Coachella}…

 

As a lover of music, especially live music, art and fashion, it is only natural to find myself daydreaming of being at Coachella, right?!!  I love the free spirit that this amazing festival seems to draw out of everyone.  The bohemian style that covers the grounds is beautiful.  Each person has his or her own look that comes together to create an amazing art piece at this one festival.  It is beautiful.  At least, from what the pictures can show.  I seriously need to start saving and planning so I can go next year.  I know whoever is playing I will enjoy, since the music that is also played at Coachella is totally my style.  I mean look at this year’s lineup – freaking amazing.  Now, join me in my daydream and look at some of these lovies…

Absolutely Fabulous…

Five Loves…

 

I love her look.  I would wear that to the office and then out – seriously.  It is perfection.

 

Hydrangeas.  One of my absolute favorite flowers.  I cannot wait for mine to bloom this year at my house.

 

Such a stunning loose bun.  I love it and need to master this for mornings I am running late for the office.

 

Seriously in love with these hats recently.  Also on my spring shopping list.  Love the wider brim.

 

Time to paint and really release creativity – divine and therapeutic.  Simply fabulous.

Five Loves…

There is something so beautiful about this photo.  The girl is stunning, but that is not all.  The look in her eyes draw you in and then the soft look on her whole face allows for the red to pop perfectly on her lips.  Love this lovely.

This drawing is amazing.  I love all that it communicates all through a pencil sketch.  A girl filled with so much emotion and words that are right there on the surface, but still stuck inside of you…

Seriously, this is the perfect warm winter day ensemble.  I adore the hat – the big brim to help block the wind.  Then, add the big shawl - divine.

 

I have been obsessing over figs as of late and so naturally this salad grabbed my attention right away.  It looks delectable.

 

How cute are these little booties?!!  I seriously feel like I need these for spring.  I just die.

Five Loves…

Let loose and dance in the street – while wearing stripes.  In love.  Yes, please – let’s go.

A fun accent chair I am adoring right now – I would love to have this in my new living room.

 

I love my Great Aunt Jeanie.  She is simply beautiful – both inside and outside and I want to look like here when I am 82.

 

I have been searching for a fun print to hang in my kitchen – and this is one of my current favs.  I am loving looking for pieces to stylize my house and make it a home.

 

Having time to myself to relax and read – seriously one of my favorite things in the whole world.  Such a simple little treat.

Beautiful Wood…

 

Designers find inspiration in all sorts of places.  For Sophie Monet, that inspiration started in her father’s wood shop a few years back and has transformed into a stunning company that brings art, nature and beauty all together in one piece of jewelry.  Here Sophie shares a little more on her inspiration and design, “My jewelry is a synthesis of my life.  The wood represents Los Angeles and what I was surrounded by growing up.  Whether it be palm trees that line the streets from Venice to Santa Monica or my close family bonds, and the wood shop I spent my childhood in.  The gol and stone represent my entry into independence in New York.  The urban mountains continue to be a source of my inspiration, shaping the growth of my knowledge.  I synthesize and sculpt the materials that surround me, bringing natural elements into different contexts.”

Happy Places Collide…

This weekend in Minneapolis is the Uptown Art Fair.  I absolutely love this art fair.  It brings out some of the greatest people – seriously, you are bound to laugh a time or two, as well as meet some very interesting people.  The art fair always happens right outside the steps of my yoga studio.  So, why not bring the yoga outside and let the two collide a bit?!  We will be having some free classes going on, as well as yoga demos if you will.  I am so excited – a weekend full of art, beauty, fashion, and yoga?!!  All in lovely Minneapolis?!!  Why, yes – that is exactly where I will be – in the middle of some of my happy places colliding.  I certainly will be a #happygirl all weekend long!

Life is a canvas, so we shall paint and create beauty.  I love what this image captures.  And, it totally has me wanting to put my toe shoes on and dance around.

 

Loving having a new book to read and get lost in, especially since it is a memoir – my personal favorite.

 

Getting to have time to hang out with one of my best friends and laugh as we catch up on life – that is one of my favorite things in the whole world.

 

I love this DIY bar cart.  The fun retro feel revamped gives it a chic look for any home.

 

This image so beautifully captures simplicity and peacefulness.  Trusting right where she is.  There is a contentment she has as she walks away from something, but also to something.  I love it.

A Memorial Event…

Happy Memorial Day, loves!  For those of you that get the day off, I hope you are enjoying the long weekend and kick-off to summer.  I know I sure am!  There is something about holidays like this that make me crave a good movie – and lets just say I cannot get enough of The Great Gatsby trailer.  It looks like it is going to be amazing – from the cinematography to the cast to director to the storyline itself – it is going to be an amazing work of art.  It comes out on Christmas Day, and I certainly will be there.  Alright, I am off to keep enjoying frolicking and not having a care in the world…
