The Bells are Ringing…All Weekend Long…

This weekend one of my best friends is getting married and I couldn’t be more excited.  I think it has helped to have a few weekends off.  Last night we had a lovely, low key bachlorette party for her.  Tonight, we have the rehearsal and tomorrow is the big day.  Cannot wait.  Plus, fall weddings are so pretty.

What are your plans for the lovely weekend?

Much love,

B

Over the Fantasy…

Does anyone else feel this way?  Or is it just me – and probably because I sit in a room with a bunch of guys all day long, but seriously.  At least tonight I am off to a bachlorette party for one of my best friends who is getting married on Sunday – so I think there is a strong chance we will be discussing other, more interesting things…

Do you do fantasy football?  Have any good sports talking tips?  Or do you just ignore the topic?

Have a great night, loves!

Much love,

B

Recovering…

Hello, lovies!  Today is solely dedicated to recovering from a long, but extremely fun week.  Being in a wedding with a bridal party that primarily is coming from out of town means the week before the wedding is filled with festivities – granted, a lot of pampering festivities, so this little lady is not complaining…BUT, now I am taking a little me time.  Then, this evening I will be headed to the pool party of the summer with my yogis, which will really be adding to my recovery!  So, on that…I am off – peace, loves!

What are you up to this fabulous weekend?

Much love,

B

Cray Cray…

I still cannot get enough of this phrase.  It may have to do with the fact every time I say it around one of my good friends she busts out laughing and then I start laughing – so, the phrase ultimately brings great joy.  I also thought it would be fitting for today since tonight is going to be cray, and I cannot wait!  So, I better be off…wedding starts in just a couple hours!

What’s been cray in your life as of late – in a good way?!

Much love,

B

Five Loves…

Love the simplicity of her make-up.  It is a perfect inspiration for the wedding make-up we will be having done today to make us pretty for the camera and wedding this evening.  (Don’t worry loves, not my wedding – you would know if it was my wedding…and I probably would not be posting!)

I love this print.  AND I love my city.  That’s right, loves, my heart has completely been won over by this diverse and magical city.  There is a part that resonates with every part of my being…and that makes me happy to call it home.

I love a good hot summer and taking time to lay out and soak up some rays.  What little lady doesn’t love a little sun kissed look?!

Natalie Neal is truly talented with a camera.  I love this rainbow she captured.  I also love rainbows.  They still blow my mind every time I see one.

I love when men get dressed up and tonight I will get to see all sorts of it at the wedding.  I especially love a good skinny tie on a man.  Makes me weak in the knees.

What are some of your favorite summer wedding looks?

Much love,

B

The Rehearsal…

Today is the day before the big day.  It is such a fun night, I think…the bridal party gets to hang out and laugh with the bride and groom before all the commotion begins.  And this time around, the ladies just get to have fun night after fun night – loving it!  The only sad part is, I have to be at work today, so I will be rushing out of the office and straight to the rehearsal, so today has to be a look that is office appropriate and still fun enough for a rehearsal dinner.  There is not even time for a wardrobe change in the car…but I think I can make it work.  I think I will wear different shoes and a blazer during the day, and then at the red lights slip into some more fun shoes that also give me a little more height to make the look more fitting for a rehearsal.

What is your normal attire to a rehearsal dinner (or groom’s dinner depending on where you are from)?  How do you make a jam packed schedule work for you and keep your cool?

Much love,

B

All the Single Ladies…

Well, this week is all about wedding for for this little lady, as one of my dear friends (and old roommate) is getting married on Friday!  So, tomorrow night we are heading out to celebrate her last few days of independence, as well as the exciting new part of her life that is about to begin.  Now, we are not the crazy type, which is why we can have a Bachlorette Party mid-week, but we will still have a good time and get all dolled up.  The bride-to-be and I will be getting our nails done earlier in the afternoon before we meet up with everyone for dinner and really get the night kicked off.  So, that means, it is time for me to nail down what I am actually going to wear.  It has to be something easy to slip into, and if I could make it transition from the office to evening that would be even better, but I think we may need a little wardrobe change…even if that means in the car quickly.  I want to have something fun and bright on (I mean, hello – I LOVE neon), but also light and airy because it has been so hot here.  Here are some of my inspirations for the night…

What would you wear to a mid-week bachlorette party?  What are some of your favorite things to do for bachlorette parties?

Much love,

B

The Fashionable Mullet…

Don’t worry, loves, I am not advocating for the return of the mullet hairstyle (though let’s be honest…anything is possible…).  Rather, I cannot get enough of they fabulous flowing dresses where you do not have to choose whether or not you want a short skirt or a long skirt and you get the best of both worlds.  There is something so romantic and free spirit about this look with the back of the skirt flowing behind you as you walk.  They are fun to wear, beautiful to capture on film, and the options are endless.  If you are a free spirited hippie at heart – there is a mullet dress for you.  Hitting the red carpet or need something for a wedding – check, that is covered, too.  All the way to the bride herself, which if I were getting married anytime soon I may have to go with a dress like this because then I could have AMAZING shoes (shocking that this fashionista would be rocking fabulous shoes?!) and everyone would get to see them – it is perfect.

Okay, I am not planning a wedding anytime soon, but I seriously think I just found my dream wedding inspiration.  Dang.  I love ALL of it.

How do you feel about this fashionable twist to the mullet?  How would rock the mullet skirt trend?  Are you a fan of non-traditional wedding dresses?  Would you go non-traditional, or did you?

Much love,

B

Bells Still are Ringing…

That is right, my loves…wedding time again.  I actually have two weddings today but one is in Texas, while the other is in Minnesota.  Due to some work restraints, I am here in MN to celebrate.  I am excited for the lovely couple, but even more excited to put my dancing shoes on!

What are your plans for the lovely weekend?

Much love,

B

You Should Know By Now…

Yes, my loves, I am off to another wedding this fine Saturday.  I really do love getting dolled up and seeing people in love…or so I tell myself every weekend when the time roles around for another wedding!  I really do care for the friends and am thankful to get to be a part of each of their special days.  Today will also be a college reunion of sorts for us, and it also happens to be the five year anniversary of our college graduation…so you know, we are sorority gals, and we will make the most of this fabulous occasion!

Do you still get together with your friends from college for reunions?  How often?  What do you do?

Much love,

B
