Five Loves…
I love this whole look, especially the white blazer. I am totally on the hunt for my own starting now.
The perfect breakfast, especially while waking up on vacation. It may only be a long weekend – but dang, I love being away for a bit!
Time in the mountains, especially in the Red Rocks, is one of my favorite places to be. I love creation. It is so beautiful and blows my mind.
Stripes. Center part. Low pony. That is enough right there to have me in love with this look.
Waking up on vacation with the sun shinning in and lounging in my night gown is one of my favorite things in the whole world.

I am so excited to have a long weekend away from life here, not that I need to run from anything – more like it is just good for all of us to get a break from time to time. Going North…
It has almost been a year since I last headed north to my hometown, Duluth, but that is where I am today. I am only here for a short trip but it gives me some girl time with my sister and mother. It is not something we do often, but when we all manage to find a day where the three of us are free it is so worth making the effort. We by no means are normal, and one of us (more often all of us…) tend to attract some sort of attention when we are in public together, but that always makes for fun stories and laughs later. So loves, I best be off…I need to go put my toes in the lake (Lake Superior that is) and frolic on the beach (yes, we have a real beach with sand).

Into the Wild…
You know those artists that simply captivate you with their voice?! Yea, I have a thing for them, which is probably why I love LP so much. This fun curly haired New York native who now resides in LA has a gift and when you add the ukele in her hands – I mean, she is stunning. She also is hard to define when it comes to her style of music, which is what has me loving her so much more. There is life and soul to her music. And here, in her song Into the Wild, she has me craving to skip town and go on an adventure…to Bali would be my choice.

Break Free…
It is only Tuesday and I am already feeling like I need to break free. But this is not just a break free for the weekend, I am longing to get away for a bit. So much that I have been daydreaming about how I can escape to Bali for a month or so…yes, I want to live the Eat, Pray, Love dream. Since I cannot break free from Minneapolis today, I am enjoying these images to help me get away and take a deep breath. I am so thankful for a long weekend to try to get a little stay-cation in.

A Century Ago…
Can you believe a hundred years ago today the Titanic sank? The ship that all thought not even God Himself could sink, did. I am a lover of history and became intrigued to learn more about this sad story when I was in middle school, much having to do with a huge crush on Leo and the coming out of the 1997 film Titanic (which, yes – I did go enjoy in 3D the other night with a few girlfriends), but also because I find myself daydreaming about the lives that were lost at sea, but even more the lives that lived through that tragic experience. How did it shape them? Change their views on the world? Aside from that, I also love looking at pictures to see the women that were in first class and their gorgeous dresses. Ladies, why can’t we wear dresses like this to dinner every night – and have it be a normal thing? Oh yeah…time…well, could we do brunches like this?! They are so flattering and the details – stunning.
Would you want to wear the styles from a 100 years ago? Have you gone to see Titanic in 3D yet?
