Five Loves…

 

Oh my goodness.  I feel in love with this sweater the first moment I laid eyes on it.  How cute?!  I mean who doesn’t love some Big Time Rush?!!

 

I think I may have an addiction.  To Tootsie Pops.  Seriously – I love them so much – like a little too much.

 

I have been listening to Taylor’s new album, Red, so much this past week.  She has this amazing ability to write songs that every girl can relate to.  And that makes her music addicting.  I guess it is fun to have something that is far more pop culture than my standard, though some of her stuff is not so poppy – like check out Sad Beautiful Tragic.  Not so pop friendly.

 

One of my favorite parts of late fall in Minnesota is that it is peacoat season.  There is something so classic and lovely about anyone – men and women a like – in a peacoat.

 

This is pretty much sums up my favorite style, which I know is not new news – but I just had to share because she is lovely.

Five Loves…

 

Life is a canvas, so we shall paint and create beauty.  I love what this image captures.  And, it totally has me wanting to put my toe shoes on and dance around.

 

Loving having a new book to read and get lost in, especially since it is a memoir – my personal favorite.

 

Getting to have time to hang out with one of my best friends and laugh as we catch up on life – that is one of my favorite things in the whole world.

 

I love this DIY bar cart.  The fun retro feel revamped gives it a chic look for any home.

 

This image so beautifully captures simplicity and peacefulness.  Trusting right where she is.  There is a contentment she has as she walks away from something, but also to something.  I love it.

Five Loves…

Love the simplicity of her make-up.  It is a perfect inspiration for the wedding make-up we will be having done today to make us pretty for the camera and wedding this evening.  (Don’t worry loves, not my wedding – you would know if it was my wedding…and I probably would not be posting!)

I love this print.  AND I love my city.  That’s right, loves, my heart has completely been won over by this diverse and magical city.  There is a part that resonates with every part of my being…and that makes me happy to call it home.

I love a good hot summer and taking time to lay out and soak up some rays.  What little lady doesn’t love a little sun kissed look?!

Natalie Neal is truly talented with a camera.  I love this rainbow she captured.  I also love rainbows.  They still blow my mind every time I see one.

I love when men get dressed up and tonight I will get to see all sorts of it at the wedding.  I especially love a good skinny tie on a man.  Makes me weak in the knees.

Five Loves…

Damn those are some good shoes.  Good shoes always make a woman feel more beautiful – it is like walking in art.  Amazing.

Love the fun side-pony.  And pair it with stripes, well you know you have my attention!

Sometimes you just need to let loose, frolic and jump.

There have been some things this past week that have left me needing to be taken to my happy place – this picture has helped since I cannot just go chill with an elephant in Minneapolis.  Maybe I should go to Bali for awhile – then I could chill with the elephants.

And wouldn’t mind wearing this as I escape to my happy place.  Those lips – they just pop perfectly with the stripes.

Five Loves…

Bring on the summer heat because it is one more fabulous reason to go enjoy ice cream.

Warm summer days make for days to lay in the grass, soak up the sun and make friends with the bees…the simple things in life really are the best.

Summer stripes to lounge in as the sun sets…now that would be the most lovely idea.  Especially if it was on the beaches of Bali.

Warm summer nights means sitting out on patios enjoying the company of friends and yummy beverages.  How can you not love that?!

Being the guest blogger over at Belle Maison is such an honor and love.  A few of us have been making guest appearances so the pretty lady can have some time with her new little baby boy.

Break Free…

It is only Tuesday and I am already feeling like I need to break free.  But this is not just a break free for the weekend, I am longing to get away for a bit.  So much that I have been daydreaming about how I can escape to Bali for a month or so…yes, I want to live the Eat, Pray, Love dream.  Since I cannot break free from Minneapolis today, I am enjoying these images to help me get away and take a deep breath.  I am so thankful for a long weekend to try to get a little stay-cation in.

Choosing to find joy in the simple things like some time to be free outside and soak in the sun – how can you not smile and love that?!

Elephants make me so happy.  Elephants in love and dressed up to look proper, if you will, makes me smile instantly.

Fresh blueberries make me smile.  Fresh blueberries in cupcakes, well now I am just on cloud nine, my loves!

No shame.  You dance, stretch, do yoga wherever you please – even if that means in public.  Trust me, it will help you release and maybe even crack a smile.

Simple carefree day that involves sitting on the floor is always lovely.

Well, let’s be honest, the stripes got me yet again – and I just love how this gal is having so much fun just enjoying life.  I am picturing her at a wedding weekend – so this can be my inspiration to keep having fun at all the wedding this summer.
