Norhtern Vineyard…

I am so excited for today because I finally get to go to Sillwater, MN – a quaint little town not too far out of the Twin Cities with one of my dear friends.  I have a lovely little Living Social voucher to redeem and we are going to Northern Vineyard Winery for an afternoon of wine tasting and strolling around to enjoy a little getaway from the city.  I am excited to get a brief moment out of my normal life and enjoy delicious wine while I am at it.  Then, when we come back to town we may be headed to another wine tasting party – it will just be a wine-o sort of day, and I am quite alright with that.

They also have a great patio you can sit on while you sip your wine that overlooks the St. Croix River.  I am hoping it is warm enough to sit out there and enjoy, if not I guess I have an excuse to go back!

B’s Loves…

A girl who is ready for an adventure, running her hands through her hair (just the way I love to).  I love this photo and it makes me excited for adventures to come this summer – for some reason I picture her heading to an amazing music festival…and maybe that is because if I were her that is what I would be doing…

The whole room is great and I do love it all – but what keeps me coming back time and time again is that couch.  I simply adore it.  I love the colors and the playing with mixing patterns – a trend I can’t get enough of these days when done well.

Yoga.  Love love love.  It is such a great work out and release at the same time.  It is something that I find time for nearly every day.  Yoga by the water is even better, which gets me excited for next week when I will get to wake up and go do yoga on the beaches of Mexico.

My newest TOMS obsession.  Only problem is, I can’t find them for sale anywhere.  Thankfully, I am loving a few of the other styles.  I wear my pink sparkly TOMS a few times every week – they have great arch support and I love throwing them on after yoga to run about in Uptown.

I love blazers.  I love birds.  There you have it, we have a match made in heaven.  Now, I would love it a lot more if I could own it and wear it myself.

All Royal…

Now, I am not one to be all up on the latest with the Royal Wedding happening tomorrow – but at this point it is getting kind of hard to avoid.  I will not be waking up at 2am to tune in and watch the live feed – but you best believe I will check to see what Kate’s dress looks like when I do get a chance later in the day (I mean seriously – that is one of the best parts, at least for a complete outsider who does not have an attachment to the two saying “I do”).  What I have seen and heard about Kate Middleton, I must say has been impressive – she seems like a classy gal, and she sure is not afraid to have fun with accessories, particularly hats.  I love the hats she wears – some are so out there, but she pulls them off so well.

She also doesn’t want to leave her royal guests behind in accessorizing well.  So, according to Coco Perez, the royal couple will be giving their guest a limited edition, custom made scarves by Centex.  Now, that is a wonderful idea if you ask me.  Fashionable and something I will actually want to use again – can’t say that about every wedding favor one has ever received.

So, I may not be the most up to date on all the gossip, but I am excited that the new princess-to-be has some fashionista in her.  For those of you that are more into following the “wedding of the century,”  please do enjoy, but remember…

Colours…

Meet GroupLove.  Their EP was released in the US at the end of January.  This is Colours performed live at SXSW – the official video is fun, but I love a band that can perform live, so I had to share this with you.  I am loving their indie-pop sound.  I also love that painting is a part of their musical art.  Hannah Hooper, the band’s keyboardist and painter, says “In the fine art world, art writers want to talk about a body of work and what is similar about each piece.  They want to say you have a certain language to your work. That holds people back. Their goal became to make a body of work that’s similar. That should never be the goal. The goal should be to make each piece unique. If they can talk to each other, that’s a good thing, but if they can’t, that is also a good thing. That’s our approach to music.”  Now, that is my favorite type of musician.

Lulu Bug…

I am loving this little jewelry find on Etsy called Lulu Bug.  There is a beauty in the simplicity.  I love how the silver is tinted with concrete.  They are so beautiful.  My only problem is I just do not know which necklace or earrings I want…may have to get a few things.  Thought, the first on my list would be the one above – I love the quote (I mean let’s be honest…I am a sucker for a good quote…) and can really resonate with it.  Here are some other ones topping my list…

I love that this last one is a set of five intended for bridesmaids.  Now, I am not getting married anytime soon, nor do I have my bridesmaids picked out, but I have a feeling this would be a great gift for the ladies standing with my on that special day.

Noa Noa Love…

With a couple days of sunshine and then today calls for cold rainy days, maybe even snow – oh joy (please hear the sarcasm) – I have been getting lost in the beautiful images from Noa Noa‘s High Summer collection.  It is breathtakingly gorgeous.  I love the bold colors, flowy dresses – even some fun maxi skirts.  They are currently housed in New Zealand to draw inspiration as they creatively design the collections, but the clothes are then made in Denmark.  There really seems to be a trend with my love for clothes from down under – I am thinking I need to find my way there sooner rather than later.  It is a land filled with beauty and I want to experience it more than just with my eyes.

Okay, how can you not be ready for summer now?  Or at least a little warmth.  Thankfully, I will be in Mexico in just over a week and will get to enjoy some of these looks while lounging on the beach.  How are you dealing with this extra cold spring?  What are you most looking forward to once it gets warmer?

Workin’ It…

Who says a lady can’t be fashionable during the nine to five?!  Certainly, not me.  As the seasons change and spring is full upon us, things start to lighten up at the office – well, at least the clothes do.  I have loved getting to wear brighter colors than my classic black.  Some days, there has even been such a bold more to wear prints at work – look at that great print skirt above or those fun yellow pumps on Oliva.  Now, we may not be able to wear trends full out at work, but there are ways to work them in and still stay professional.

So, whether it is bold and bright colors or fun florals – go work those spring trends at the office.  You know you won’t be the only one!

Just a Thought…

Happy Easter Weekend…

It is Easter weekend and I hope you are able to find some time to enjoy it.  I am excited to spend the day tomorrow with my dear friends, that really are my family, and celebrate the amazing news that Easter truly is for us.  It may be overcast and gray in this part of the world, but at least I can look at images of spring that remind me the sunshine is coming.  Hope you have a great weekend – and if you spend time with your family (whoever that may be) – that it is fun for you!  And here is a fun vintage Easter postcard from me to you, loves!
