Over the weekend I attended the annual Ugly Christmas Sweater Party with my lovely Theta gals. We try to keep in touch even though we are no longer in school – and I must say due to some wonderful event planners, we do a decent job. Each year things are a little different to keep life interesting. This year we were to bring an appatizer or dessert to share (and no we never do sign-ups, so we never really know what our meal will look like for the evening – but it keeps things a little more interesting). Thankfully, we had a good mixture of savory and sweet for the gathering. I made my staple sweet potato fries with nutmeg and cinnamon (I seriously cannot get enough of sweet potato fries, or really fries in genereal – my biggest food weakness. Don’t really know what it is, but they do something for me). Kat, however, wins the award for bringing a little taste of heaven to our mouths. She made Mama Pea’s Christmas Cookie Dough Balls. They were like eating cookie dough – amazing. And, because I have a crazy obsession with vegan desserts, I about lost when I found out the recipe was vegan – double amazing. They do not take long to make and are fairly easy and sure to be a hit. So, if you are on your way to a holiday gatehring and need to whip something up – these are for sure a great option!
Or, hey, since it is a Monday and most of us need a pick me up – these could be a great after work treat to make yourself…I don’t know about you, but that sure sounds like a great idea to me.
Do any of you have great holiday cookies you have had or going to try this year? Happy Monday, lovies! Hope you had a great weekend as we are all back at em today.
Much love,
B

Insanely delish. I’m already plotting my next opportunity to bake it out.
